Back in my wonderful studio, Worked on the tool kits with my friend, Mano... good day!

Dear readers,

I headed out of the door at around 9:20 am today for the studio. I worked for a hour or so in my studio working on the guide book that I will carry with me in my experiment. Then when my friend, Mano, is finish with his regular work in his woodshop, I went over and with him, we had started to work on the tool kits. The tool kits is surely coming together fast under the instruction and help from Mano. I would say that we are about 25% done. It is a great start on the building today. I will be meeting with him tomorrow again to continue to work on the project.

cutting out space for the different compartments.

Making small fire work... haha, not really, I was griding the tip of the nail.

I am always fascinate with people that can build with their own hand and simple tools, something that we use daily, like tables, bed, clothes, books, houses, shelves and many other things. I am always amazing at their knowledge to create, to create something that they need and that can sustain them. I want to learn how to build a cabin; I want to learn how to build those simple furniture that Mano can builds so easily; I want to learn how make my own cloths; I want to learn how to grow food and store food for the winter. I want to, one day in the future that I can say I am able to make all the tools, "things", that I truly need to live, to survival and to be a true human being. I want to be sustainable, radically, in the sense that I can live and survive as a true human being with only my bare hands, my community and the majestic nature around me without my harm to anything, and anyone. I want to able to do that someday. I want to.

Few pictures of my studio, the grape plant and the beautiful window:

I was helping Mano to cut some grapes leafs that had made its way into my studio through the window, to make some "grapes leaf"

Thanks for reading again.
All the best

fill with color...

Dear readers,

Today I continued to revise the data that I had gathered through all the exploring expeditions and recreating the map. I had added color to the maps to identify different components of our city, the residential area, the business sector, the production sectors and the public spaces. Through the recreating the map, I been able to further understanding the city.

Tomorrow I will head back to the studio and meet up with my friends who is a furniture builder. He is such a kind man and he is so excited to help me out on the building of the tool kits and some of the tools. I am so grateful for his friendship and his help.

I am only 19 days away from the day I am planning to start the experiment. I hope all will be ready. I think if all go as planned, I should be able to do so. I am so excited for all the progress that I had made and for the day that coming for me to live off the city and in the mean time, celebrates and live and find truths.

Here is some pictures of the new maps that I am making:

Thanks for your reading.
Have a good night

Getting ready for the experiment... working on the ultimate manual for my experiment.

Dear readers,

As the exploration part of the part of the preparation had finished, I am now working very hard on the mauel for my experiment. In this book, it will have all the maps that I recreated from the information that I gathered from all the exploration I done. It will have other very important information within. It is going to be my survival guide and my manual for the 4 weeks long experiment.

So far I am working on the revising of the all the maps and information that I gathered and created from all the explorations. It is a joy for me to revisit all those maps and finally have the opportunity to read those maps all as a whole, as one map. It is so rewarding for me to find and discover connection between all those maps and all those different area of the city.

Tomorrow I will be back in my studio after probably a month of absenting from it due to the many field work that I have to do. I will be back in my studio and start working on my tool kits and tools. I am so excited about this part of my preparation. It is going to be so much fun.

I will try to put some pictures up of my sketches on my design for the tool kits and some pictures of the book that I am making.

I cannot wait to go out and start my experiment.
